Daily Globe news reporter Samuel Martin interviewed new Worthington HRA Director Tanner Rogers after he was hired Nov. 6, 2023. Rogers brings mortgage lending and real estate experience to the new role. “Part of my job is going to be determining what makes sense and what the city of Worthington needs in regards to bigger projects," he was quoted as saying. "I’m looking forward to developing projects and determining what those needs for the city are. I’ve only been here for three months and I know that I have a long way to go, but I’m looking forward to the challenge.” Rogers, 29, brings a younger perspective to the position. "Trying to take advantage of the tools that time and certainly technology have awarded our community," he said. "I’m only 29 years old, so having a fresh set of eyes from a younger generation, I think, is going to be beneficial as we really begin to work towards meeting the needs of the people that live in Worthington and in our surrounding community.”
